Summary
After a decade, Thoma finally returns to Mondstadt, where he is reunited with his first love – Kaeya. But it doesn't matter what unresolved tension is between them when Kaeya has found love elsewhere in the form of the Fatui diplomat Childe. If only Childe wasn't so perceptive (and so willing), the awkward air between Thoma and Kaeya might have remained that way until the end of their reunion. As old feelings reawaken and Childe is more than willing to push Kaeya headfirst into them, Thoma finds he might leave from Mondstadt with a little more in his heart than he expected.
But Kaeya and Childe have other urgent matters as well: collect the broken pieces of the Abyssal Gnosis that promises to set Kaeya's destiny back into motion.
