Spider stood on shaky legs, spinning in place as the atokirina landed on his arms and shoulders in a gentle caress. And just as certain as they claimed him, they flitted back into the air, moving into the trees slowly as though beckoning him.
He saw the sign for what it was. The Great Mother was calling to him, and he would listen.
So Spider followed.
Or, the desperate actions of a lonely child force those around him to confront demons long thought dead and buried...
