Eddie, in blue overalls, dripping in grease and motor oil, holding a goddamned wrench in his left hand, like a literal caricature of a mechanic, stares at him incredulously. He doesn't say anything; doesn't even lift his eyebrows. The clock over the desk tics loudly. "Hello? You still there?", the guy asks, a small frown on his face.
"Yes", Eddie says and clears his throat. "A thing or two."

“Are you sure you don’t have some superpowers yourself? Like maybe you underwent some secret human experiments, and your ability happens to be collecting superpowered kids or something?” Lucas squinted in suspicion.
