    Peter Parker was ten the first time he shot a gun (in a firing range with his Uncle Ben). He had quickly taken to it, and by the time he was bitten by that damn radioactive spider, he was good.

    Most people didn't know this about him, which led to a lot of... interesting (hilarious) interactions.

    "So, what was your wish? To become an Avenger or something?"

    Peter leaned back against the couch, tilting his head so his gaze could rest on Tony instead. The shadows from the television stretched across his father's face, outlining every familiar line, every detail Peter ached to remember. It felt like old times — like the countless nights they'd spent just like this — and he tucked the moment away deep inside, committing it to memory for when he returned back to his time.

    "I just really wanted to see my dad," he whispered.

    Two years have passed since Tony's sacrifice, and Peter still hasn't been able to move on. Everyone around him keeps telling him to, because that's what Tony would have wanted, but they didn't understand. They couldn't.

    But somehow he ended up back in time, and Tony was here. Alive. And Peter was not going to waste a single moment.

    And maybe, perhaps, he could bring him back home.

     

    (Or: the 50k+ words timetravel fic I accidentally wrote and was meant to keep in my drafts, but I decided to post anyways because I lowkey became obsessed with Iorndad and Spiderson fics.)

That’s the good thing about their little family – they’re a symbiosis, a well-oiled cart which can withstand even the rockiest roads. With Pepper, Peter doesn’t have to feel guilty for taking up too much time or space, because Pepper needs him just as much as he does her. But now that Tony freaking Stark is smiling his one-billion-dollar smile at him from over his expensive dinner, Peter can hear that well-oiled machinery squeaking for the first time.

    He just steals his hoodies, sleeps over at the Baxter Building, lets Johnny hold him during movie nights, and has a keycard that was definitely only supposed to be for emergencies.
    Then Peter shows up in the Baxter Building lobby bleeding, radioactive, and barely conscious, and Johnny discovers there are much bigger things Peter has been keeping from him.
