    Midoriya Izuku walks by his chance for greatness. Told that he can't be a hero by his idol and to not even think about UA by his once friend, he finally takes the realistic option and chooses Shiketsu's support course.
    Things get better eventually. He enjoys inventing and manages to make friends. It seems everyone was right, he wasn't meant to be a hero...
    But then everything goes to shit and the only way forward is to go back.

    In other words:
    Quirkless inventor Midoriya goes through a nomu apocalypse, takes some risks, and realizes he always had what it takes to be a hero. Add time travel to the mix.
