‘I require your assistance once more, Constantine,’ he said with all the gravitas of the time he sent her after a rogue necromancer.
Johanna does a few jobs for Dream when she needs to lie low. She preferred the detective hunts and the exorcisms; having her skills as a master occultist used to give potluck recommendations felt like employee abuse.

Summary
Attraction to Dream of the Endless comes to Hob in a form of a slow, simmering fire. At times it burns brighter, other times it calms until it’s barely noticeable. It never goes away fully, partially because Hob doesn’t want it to.
His companion is the embodiment of hope and dreaming. It would be sacrilege to give up hope in being wanted by him.

Death comes for a raven, and finds her brother. He doesn't ask her for help, but prevents her possible entrapment, so she finds Hob Gadling and suggests he do something about the situation at hand.
Cue a one man resque mission in 1926, which leads to dozens of years of platonic, yet vaguely romantic dating both in the waking world and in the Dreaming.Now with illustrations in the second chapter!

Or: Hob Gadling has a lot of thoughts about his very long life and about certain mysterious strangers that want to keep meeting him every one hundred years in the same tavern.

Summary
Sokka takes a strategic step back, but he also smiles: triumphant, like he baited Zuko into exactly what he wanted. Like it’s a challenge. It’s the same way he looked when they sized each other up at the prison, with Sokka in chains that left red marks around his wrist, in tattered prison garb, malnourished and angry. Back then, that was Sokka saying: I see your power. I see you. Now, see me.
Zuko saw him then. And he sees him now; different, but the same. I see you.
Zuko lights his daos in flame. Sokka grins, back to gravel and heat. “Come on, Fire Lord. Impress me.”
Zuko burns. His vision flickers with fire. His heart races. His blood sings. His body is like a magnet, pulling ever onward to meet Sokka’s. He advances.
He pins Sokka to the wall, blades against his throat.
Or, Zuko found Aang first, Sokka and Katara were imprisoned in Boiling Rock for trying to rescue their dad, and all Sokka knows is he's pretty sure he's not supposed to think the Fire Lord is attractive but he's never let things like rules stop him before.

This is Part Two, but I made sure Part One isn't necessary to read. But if you'd like to see Sokka realize his attraction to Zuko and struggle to contain himself while Suki good-naturedly laughs her ass off (canon-compliant), then check it out! Also some of the stuff about tallness might make a bit more sense if you've read part one.

Summary
Six months after the defeat of Darth Sidious and the end of the Clone Wars, the Republic - and the Senate - are only just beginning to get back on their feet. They've relegated most of their captured Separatist leaders to temporary exile on unremarkable outer-rim worlds, with varying levels of security to accompany them.
Darth Maul, surprisingly, has some of the least security measures of all of them. Maybe they didn't think he was a threat, debilitated without his forces. Maybe they didn't have the resources to spare so soon after the war; maybe they didn't deem him important enough to bother.
Maybe they simply forgot he was there.
He's beginning to think they did, actually, until someone shows up at his door.

The Divide: Across the Chaos, that was what they called it.

There is more at stake than personal glory or self-righteousness. Her forces fight for the Chiss Ascendancy. It is of no consequence if history depicts them as the heroes or the villains, though they will be long since forgotten if they allow themselves to be preyed upon by waiting enemies when war has all but destroyed them...
(Or, a story where Thrawn returns home to discover that protecting the Ascendancy effectively makes him the rebel... And everything that's gone wrong has been blamed on Eli Vanto.)
