Both the senate and Jedediah's unionised workers agree that despite their differences it is in their best interest to join forces to unite the miniatures hall, leaving their leaders to have to bottle their mutual hatred for the good of their people.

For a fleeting moment, he thought an awful thought. Death would have been kinder. His dearest friend, the only person to show him unconditional care, to accept him completely, to even come close to understanding Erik and still choosing to believe he was a good person. Or rather that he could be a good person. Now he’d taken everything from him.
The bullet hits the top of Charles' spine, and Erik sees he is dying and doesn't just abandon him and leave him for dead in the sand BECAUSE WHAT KIND OF PERSON WOULD DO THAT??? Lots of Charles blaming himself and taking hits left, right and centre as long as everyone else is okay even though he's clearly not.

It’s just another ordinary day for Erik, filling in at his mother Edie’s flower shop - until Charles Xavier walks in, with his stupidly angelic blue eyes, oversized cardigans, and a voice that could hypnotise crowds. Erik is whipped. Instantly. Shamelessly.
The only problem? Charles is buying flowers for someone named Raven: “the most beautiful person I've ever met,” Charles declares, sounding almost lovestruck. Erik, naturally, spirals. Of course his perfect man is straight. And taken.
Cue misunderstandings, on both sides.

Johnny gets the nerve to sit and stand on shaking legs. Pony’s legs dangle from the side of the fountain, unmoving and still, his converse just brushing the concrete. There is coldness that envelops Johnny’s heart and soul, and he feels his eyes go wide and white.
“What did you do to him?” Johnny asks in a tough, but shaking voice. “What did you do?”
Bob looks at him. He looks at the other Socs. He looks back at Johnny. “He had it coming.”
Johnny feels sick and cold inside. “No, no, you-- he’s fourteen. He’s fourteen!”
The other Socs don’t even stay long enough to hear Bob’s commands do Johnny in, too. They just tear Bob away with blank, pale faces. Bob laughs in a sick, twisted way. Johnny vomits up popcorn and Pepsi and forces his legs to move forward.~

or: Charles experiences Shaw's death, a narrowly-averted war, and the disorienting powers of the helmet in rapid succession, and then gets shot. He deserves a little panic attack, as a treat.
