Unyielding fingers rest over his in an unfortunate mockery of something kind.
He chokes down the desire to keep struggling and lets his still free hand fall to the ground. He’ll just - he’ll just wait. And see what the machine does.

To achieve maximum performance, it opts to optimize its energy usage. A more efficient source of biofuel may exist—but V1 needs a means to extract it. A particular peripheral used by Mindflayers seems promising.
V1 intends to test it on Gabriel. There must be something better than blood.

The problem with being one of only two V models ever constructed was that meant that spare parts are exceedingly hard to come by. Anything scrounged up from other machines were more than likely completely incompatible with its specialized design structure.
That meant when something breaks- there was a decent chance it could not be properly fixed…
