"Why do people choose to turn a blind eye?" "Why do people cause such meaningless destruction?" "Why do people choose to brave ignorance?"
These are questions I've asked many people across many universes. And still, the answer never changed.
"People are complex and flawed".
I had gotten that infuriating answer so many times I chose to stop asking. Instead, I dwelled on them myself and got a much more reasonable answer.
People are horrifyingly simple.
Simple in their desire. Their consumption. Their idleness. Their hunger. Their spite. Their ego. Their anger. Simple in the face of fighting soldiers, weeping souls, and dying families.
People have had centuries to evolve and mature, but they choose simplicity. I've witnessed it time and time again. And by my right, as a witness, I have chosen to bestow my eyes, my perspective upon the world and make a change.
One that will transcend time itself.

There were bound to be some kind of side effect to the combination that no one even had the time to hypothesize about.
Wiping a mind that was almost completely shut off wasn't Stratt's best idea. The effects of the coma drug and amnesia drug leave Grace waking up changed. He's a different person now.

Summary
Silver, Tangle, and Whisper all wind up on an accidental adventure together involving an unusual time-traveling device using a chaos emerald identical to Silver's. Starline has apparently not only mysteriously survived the cave-in after being left for dead by Eggman in issue 50, but is quite alive and well. Maybe not sane, though. He's out to change the history during the Eggman War. When Silver and Tangle lose sight of Whisper everything falls apart even more with Starline attempting to meet Eggman in time to help him win everything over his enemies.
(Takes place some time after "Battle for the Empire" and takes a new route after this arch. It also assumes a slightly different account of the events of "Sonic Forces" especially in how Zero becomes Infinite.)

The world is meaningless.
