The issue is that the tabloids only got half the story: they know Shane is gay but they know nothing about Shane and Ilya’s relationship. So when Twitter discourse spirals, as it tends to do, Ilya finds himself being branded as homophobic for being Shane’s rival all these years.

    Ilya and Shane come to a head with their public personas as their true selves take shape for everyone to see. What they didn't know was how thrilling and freeing it would be to let go of everything that held them at arms length from the other, embracing the versions of themselves they see in each other instead of what prying public eyes decide to make of them.

    Could it be possible to lose everything that defined them as rivals but gain something so much more in the love they hold each other?
