So everyone in team flash dropped out of Barry’s life post thwarne | doc girl blamed him for her finances death so left | iris blamed him for her finances death so she had been cold and spiteful and turned Joe against him too | joe is an all around asshole guilt tripping him and all over just making him feel bad about actually fucking sleeping instead of being put as the flash | Cisco is out of contact and town cuz a family emergency | so Barry is alone and depressed and just all over so close to apathy and running himself into the ground | he lives at starlabs cuz he didn’t feel welcomed at home anymore | he ran out of energy bars and with Cisco not around to make more and him just being all depressed and not caring he eats much less then he is supposed to leading to and barely sleeping at all leading to him being weak and getting headaches | he gets a dizzy spell while confronting captain cold and heatwave and he collapses | they take him home and very worried about him | they’re totally in mother hen mode | Barry is totally out of it | they’re furious and concerned when they hear how everyone abandoned him | mick loves feeding people and he makes sure to always feed Barry | they just adopt him lmao | they’re very protective and serious about taking care of him

Summary
A voice in the Speed Force reaches Barry in his Timeless state to convince him to come home. Barry misses that voice once he’s back in real-time, but he has to set things right and save as many lives as he can.
While that means Iris will be with Eddie instead of him, he can’t mourn her. She’ll always be dear to him, but he wants her to be happy above all, and he has seen every timeline and knows the life and love he will get to have instead. He just needs to keep fighting to finish his calculations in time to defeat Eobard and return to his loved ones for good.
Thankfully, a certain thief brings clarity like no one else can.
