The future of TikTok in the U.S. is uncertain at this time. The U.S. Senate passed a law in April requiring TikTok's Chinese parent company to divest the app. However, TikTok's owners are fighting to have the law struck down, and the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case.
At this time it is unclear what the result will be.
Regardless, AO3 has users and volunteers around the globe who will not be affected by the U.S. ban if it is upheld. In addition, we plan to cross-post video content made for TikTok on other platforms such as on our Instagram as Reels.
