The year is 1955, 10 since he got home from war and 7 since he got kicked off the force. It's winter, and the rain just won't let up. He'd get bored if it weren't for the newest case to land in his lap: a slain patriarch, a fallen starlet, and their prodigal son, all woven together in an ever-growing web of Hollywood scandal, intrigue, and blackmail. It would be a welcome distraction if that prodigal son weren't so nice to look at.
At least, this is how the actor who plays him in the Roger Sheridan Mystery Hour reads the whole situation. During one recording session, his projected fantasy of the detective takes on a life of its own.

The "retreat" is revealed to be a lie. There will be no leaving the platform - only solitude, and the slow building of dread and suspicion between participants. To escape, they must kill one another, and rise through the ranks of the Echelon Protocol, proving their ideology supreme in the killing simulation's contest of wits.
A killing game with a philosophical, political, and moral twist. Mature, gloomy, and blissful. Heavily inspired by, but distinct from, Danganropa and similar stories.
