This is a rewrite of the first season of Hannibal exploring how the story could have unfolded if Hannibal was a non-toxic character capable of forming genuine bonds with other people even with his psychopathy. This is what the story could have been without Hannibal being toxic, manipulative, and abusive towards Will while still keeping the core traits of his character the same (he's still a psychopath, he's still a serial killer, he's still a cannibal).

In an alternate Reborn timeline where Batman is presumed dead, Tim Drake kidnaps the Joker and methodically forces him to relive the Bat‑family’s worst wounds, convinced he is “curing” the clown – and the family must decide whether to save The Joker, or save Tim.
After Bruce’s disappearance, Gotham is a family of fractures: Dick is recovering from brutal disfigurement caused by the Joker, Jason is dead again with know sign of cause, Barbara bears a permanent wound from long ago, and Tim Drake – already scarred by childhood torture at the Joker’s hands, quietly unravels. Donning a grief‑collage costume that borrows pieces of Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batman, Tim abducts the Joker and administers a symbolic curriculum of punishment designed to make the Joker experience each crime he committed against the family.
Tim insists he will not kill; he will rehabilitate. The horror is not gratuitous cruelty but a calm, rationalized doctrine of “fixing” that mirrors Bruce’s own obsession. The Bat‑family eventually reunited, converges: and the moral collision forces everyone to confront what the symbol of Batman has cost them – and whether the line they swore to hold still exists.

I do not believe in prophetic dreams. There is no reaching beyond the veil, and there are no gods to send me guidance while I’m trying to rest.
And, most definitely, there are no strange men crying for help in the middle of the night. No one is actually stuck in what looks like a submarine that is slowly filling with what I’m hoping is not blood. Even if I’ve been seeing it every night for the last couple of weeks.
I try to ignore it, at least in my waking hours. I somewhat succeed in it.
…That is, until I see a suspiciously submarine-shaped blob of please-please-please-let-it-not-be-blood through the Hail Mary’s telescope.
Or: the Hail Mary finds the SM-13 on the way to Erid. Everything would be fine — if not for the second, much bigger (and suspiciously… toothy) thing floating in space next to it.
