“Skull! Vintage!” Gloves gawked at the two newcomers, decked in the same squidbeak uniform as them. “What are you doing here?”
Skull dropped down, landing right next to Gloves. “I don’t really get what’s going on, but we just need to beat them,” he said, pointing his charger towards the hoard. Firing a shot, he landed a critical hit on a nearby octarian. “Right?”
“I–” Gloves shook his head, turning his attention back at the swarm of enemies. “Yeah. That.”

“Open your eyes,” Satoru says, and when Suguru does, his eyes widen in wonder. He’s met with beautiful hues of blue, purple, and grey. The stars are like freckles, painting the sky’s face everywhere he looks. There are shooting stars. He’s sure he can see Saturn, too.
“This is,” Suguru breathes, muttering. “Incredible.”
“It’s how I see my music,” Satoru says, blue eyes glimmering like the constellations above. Suguru looks over, taking in the sight of the moonlight hitting Satoru’s strands of white silvery hair. “The stars are the notes, the galaxy is my melody.”
After saying this, Satoru turned to look at the other man, smiling softly. “I can’t think of my life without music. It’s beautiful.”
Suguru doesn’t think he’s seen anything more beautiful than this.
