Alastor lived alone in a cabin in the woods, just outside of New Orleans. On his day off from hosting his radio show, he liked to sit by the fire and listen to other popular radio shows. On this particular day, the broadcast ended in screams and static. Alastor soon found that most people in New Orleans had died… and others had taken on a strange form. He retreated back to his cabin and began doing nightly radio broadcasts to document the apocalypse.
In other words, a single broadcast is what brought them together at the end of the world.

He'd tell you about brothers who played pranks on each other and were endlessly nosy. About sisters who were always there when you needed them, always ready to help or just sit quietly together.
If you asked him now, Danny would tell you family has absolutely nothing to do with blood, and everything to do with the people who become yours.
Or: J'onn finds himself in possession of a very wounded, very traumatized eldritch teen.
