William Byers is a struggling artist.
After high school, it’s quite hard for a poor student who constantly has to travel out of state for an art school, to find their footing in the working world. Especially for our own William Byers. Who also can’t seem to decide what he should do his final piece of artwork on, that he needs to submit before the summer was over.He needed a summer job fast.
When he’s at his unemployed, uninspired lowest point - Max Mayfield swoops in to save the day with an offer of work he’s simply unable to refuse. Mike Wheeler, his childhood best friend, being the bartender of this establishment is only a perk. Not the main appeal, right?

Will needs a stable income, a summer job and some inspiration to get his artwork in a gallery someday. After high school, will took a gap year to focus on his artwork and publishing it. When that, he decided to delve into student loans and immerse himself in an art university degree. Only problem is there was no work Michigan where he goes to university, and after his first year hes already arms deep in loans and needs a summer job when staying in Hawkins after his first year has finished.

Everyone was excited to see if he was interesting being new until he was sorted into Hufflepuff. To make things worse when classes start he only takes three classes that were typically mandatory.
