  Summary

  Cody rounds on Rex. One step is all it takes to trap him, Cody in front of him, the fire burning at his back, endless sky above them. “Don’t you fucking dare act like you want this more than I do.” Rex is all he’s ever wanted.

  Rex is a kinder man than he is, but his temper is icy. It builds slower and grips harder. “Don’t I? You’re the one who keeps leaving.”

  It’s not fair. He wants to stay. He has to leave.
